Big Updates!: School, Reading lists, New Reading Goals, etc.

Hey guys it’s me!!! I know it’s been terribly long since I last posted and I’m so so so so sorry for that….I didn’t mean to go this long without some sort of update of some kind but here we are. To catch you all up, I am about two weeks into my Fall Semester of 2020 at my local community college where I’m majoring in Creative Writing in hopes of becoming a published, more educated author one day. With that said, school has taken up almost all of my time and I haven’t really had much more time to do anything else. Also, my Kindle books from Amazon on my Kindle Paperwhite all got ERASED COMPLETELY! It was such a devastating blow for me because all of the series that I had been working on reviewing on here, were on that Kindle and now all those ebooks are gone. So, it’s time to start fresh! Happy Fall Ya’ll! To kick off the new Fall season on the blog, I am setting a budget of 30 dollars a week to spend on used books on the site Thriftbooks and I am going to be reviewing each one that I end up getting. First review that will be coming up on the blog this week is Stephen King’s classic horror tale, Cujo! (And a very, very old edition of it at that.) First Thriftbooks haul post so far will be coming as soon as I figure out how to get all the pictures that I took of the books onto here. (I’m on my new laptop that I use for school). I still am going to be trying hard to keep up with Goodreads, NetGalley, etc. but with school, life and a freakin pandemic in the way it’s kinda gonna be a bit more difficult than last fall. It’ll be okay though, guys. I’ll come up with some good material for us to read through together. The Thriftbooks shopping each week has kept me sane due to the fact that I am extremely high risk as a severe asthmatic to catching the virus, so I am unable to go outside of my home/yard. I’ve been bored to death but now that I have access to Thriftbooks several times a week, oh my gosh. Yes. It has been heaven. Absolute heaven. I’m currently like a couple of pages into Cujo and I’ve seen the movie but never read the book before so it’s definitely interesting to see it from a different perspective. Next after that will probably be Stephen King’s Pet Sematary which was what arrived next. And yes I am on a bit of a Stephen King binge. It’s great. It’s horror and it’s that time of year, okay? Okay. Haha. So keep a lookout for the first Thriftbooks haul post coming to you soon, and also the post about my first thoughts of starting out the journey that is reading through Stephen King’s Cujo. Until the next post guys, happy fall and do some happy reading. -Caroline
