First Impressions/Feelings: The Crown

No, this whole process made no sense, but I could see how it happened, how your heart could get swept up in the endeavor. And that was my hope now: that somehow duty and love would overlap, and I’d find myself happy in the middle of it all”

Eadlyn in The Crown by Kiera Cass page 10

Good evening, guys. I’m currently on chapter 5 of the last book of the Selection Series doin off, The Crown and let me just start by saying it’s a rollercoaster of emotions. Only 5 chapters in and I already found myself crying, laughing, my heart breaking for characters and my love for some of them soaring to new heights all in one day. It’s a wild ride as the last official book of The Selection series should be. They always say, save the best for last. And this time the author really did. It’s amazing, beautiful and like I said before, heartbreaking all at the same time. I’m the first few chapters, Eadlyn cuts the Selected down to just six Elite and without her mother and father by her side, she rises as a temporary regent to replace her father who is staying by her mothers side as she tries and may ultimately fail at recovering from a heart attack. Eadlyn’s newly married twin, Ahren is no where to be seen and with public revolts on the horizon, can Eadlyn find love in The Selections end or will both her and the monarchy as they know it fall? Stay tuned for more updates and happy reading. -Caroline
