Throwing In a Wildcard Book! A Book on Rosemary Kennedy Thoughts and Feelings

So I was up late tonight and I know I have a long freaking list of books to read and I’ve already finished two books today, but I couldn’t help but try out this rather Wild Card of a book on Rosemary Kennedy’s life and her tragic end. First of all, it’s sad. Like heart breaking my sad. Knowing how mistreated she was for her whole life up until her lobotomy which more or less ended her life made me so sad and mad at the same time. I couldn’t stop reading it though. It was one of those couldn’t put the book down kinda things. I loved it in a very bittersweet kind of way. Her story is tragic, but it paved the way for better treatment of some many people with all kinds of disabilities. I highly recommend this book. It’s a great read and very powerful and informative. It’s one of those must read in your lifetime kinda books. I give it 5/5 stars and I will definitely be picking up a copy to add to my personal library. -Caroline
